Training Analysis, the 11th Commandment
. . . . Maybe 10 Are Enough
Presenter: Dr. Sam Izenberg, M.D.
About this Presentation:
The “training analysis”, required analysis for candidates, has, despite various iterations of it, been an untouchable pillar of psychoanalytic training since such training was formalized. Questioning its validity or worse advocating its abandonment is, in my experience, met with quiet disbelief, sometimes quiet scorn, and almost universally, quiet dismissal. Some thoughts are being presented in the hopes of stimulating a less quiet discussion.
