Study Groups

Active Study Groups

Study Groups, led by TICP Faculty and TSCP members, are free and open to paid-up members of the Society. The groups meet once a month, on different evenings, for the duration of the academic year.

Members who are interested in leading/coordinating a Study Group at TSCP should contact: info@ticp.on.ca with their ideas for the group.
This will be presented to the Executive Committee for consideration.

The Study Groups currently running are:

1) Relational Psychoanalysis

Leader Hazel Ipp, hazeli@rogers.com

* NOTE: This group is currently full; to add your name to the wait list please email as above.

2) Writer’s Study Group

It is the purpose of the Writer’s Study Group to provide a supportive, collegial, non-judgmental environment for the promotion and development of conceptual thought and written papers about psychoanalysis. We envisage that the group will support members through every phase of the writing process including the discussion and formulation of a creative idea related to case material; the writing of case material; the development of a conference abstract; the development of a first draft; the refining and editing of a draft, or preparation for presentation or publication.

Participants may choose to bring a published paper by another author for discussion of an idea; case material for discussion; or a draft of a paper for discussion. The group welcomes experienced authors and authors-to-be, from the novice to the prolific writer.

We would like the group to meet monthly. If you are interested, please contact Judith Levene at judith.levene@rogers.com
